This specially boxed collection features one of the best-selling PC games of all time, QUAKE, bundled with the two award-winning official id Software QUAKE Mission Packs – Scourge of Armagon™ and Dissolution of Eternity™. QUAKE The Offering will be available in more than 10,000 retail outlets throughout the United States and Canada the week of October 5th carrying a suggested retail price of $34.99.

First released in June of 1996, QUAKE still provokes a phenomenal following the world over. QUAKE has influenced the on-line gaming community unlike any other game before. Even today, QUAKE servers abound across the Internet joining gamers from one end of the globe to the other. While today’s newer releases struggle to provide acceptable multiplayer game play, QUAKE has done this and more.

A recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including “Best Action Game of the Year 1997” from Computer Gaming World, QUAKE provides incredible action both in single player and multiplayer. The game’s state-of-the-art 3-D engine allows players to race through levels at incredible speeds without sacrificing the game’s intense graphics. QUAKE Mission Pack No. 1: Scourge of Armagon lets gamers take their QUAKE experience to the next level of interactivity and mayhem with three vicious monster infested episodes, an all new deathmatch level, three brutal weapons and a vicious final boss. Clashing and combining high-tech and dark medieval worlds, players enter a dynamic environment where one misstep on the fall- away floors plunges them into an abyss. Developed by Ritual Entertainment and executive produced by id Software, QUAKE Mission Pack No. 1: Scourge of Armagon was named “1998 Editors Choice Award Best Commercial Add-On” from PC Games magazine.

QUAKE Mission Pack No. 2: Dissolution of Eternity, the evil leader Quake has fashioned a world of chaos, pain and violence. Gamers must annihilate his minions trough two hazardous episodes: Hell’s Fortress, which depicts the darkest ages, and The Corridors of Time, a historically warped environment set in a past gone horribly mad. Once players have navigated the slaughter strewn 16 levels, they can jump into specially designed deathmatch levels or play an enhanced version of the hottest QUAKE game – Capture the Flag. QUAKE Mission Pack No. 2: Dissolution of Eternity, which was developed by Rogue Entertainment with id serving as executive producer, was named the “Best Expansion Pack, by one of the gaming industry’s leading magazines PC Gamer.
