Company LineVirgin Interactive signs distribution agreement with Strategy First Virgin Interactive (VI) Friday announced that it will distribute Strategy First Incorporated's highly-anticipated title, "Man of War," in North and South America. The game is scheduled for release this fall. As part of the agreement, VI will also distribute two additional titles from Strategy First. "Man of War," a naval warfare game set in the age of sail, circa 1760-1820, is the only naval simulation that incorporates 3D first-person perspective views, immersing the player into the heart of an out-at-sea battle. During battle, players can be faced with up to 12 different weather conditions and 150 ships in simultaneous battle. "Adding Strategy First to our affiliate label line is an exciting move for VI," said Scott Berlin, vice president, sales, Virgin Interactive. "With their ground-breaking technology, Strategy First looks to be a pioneer in game development and VI is anxious to help in that success." "Virgin Interactive's strength in distribution will give us the opportunity to reach a hugh audience," said Steve Wall, vice president, marketing, Strategy First. Strategy First has earned a reputation within the software industry as a producer of world-class animation. Formed in 1991, the organization has grown to 16 full-time employees consisting of an innovative team of programmers, artists and animators. The company has worked with some of the leaders in the software and entertainment industry: Cinar Films, Sir tech, Strategic Simulation Inc., empire Interactive and ABC Sports Interactive. Strategy First has produced artwork for such titles as "Steel Panthers I & II" and "Age of Rifles." "Man of War" will be shown at the VI booth (3430) at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo held in Atlanta.
