Don Traeger, BMG's Vice President of Global Product Development, was the co-founder of EA Sports. EA Sports has dominated sports titles for the last few years. Z-Axis, sports Gordon Bellamy, another ex-EA Sports game person, who has formed Z-Axis as a "sports only"development house. Since they only do sports they hope to elevate sports games to the level of a Street Fighter game.

Major League Soccer (MLS) is the new United States professional outdoor soccer league. Many look to the MLS as the answers to soccer's woes in the United States.

Game Play

Licenses are extremely important in sports games. BMG Interactive has obtained a four year contract to produce sports games based upon the new US Major League Soccer license.

One of the most important features of game play is the increased artificial intelligence of the other team members, who are not being controlled by players.

Another new feature is on-the-fly play calling which should increase the excitement and make the title more action oriented. You need not be a twitch game player to do well however, since the game has many thinking elements to balance the action.




Inner and outer foot kicks and dribbling have accurate ball and contact physics so that the ball and the player behave properly.
